Cumberland Council has elected to make an award to Cumbria Social Enterprise Partnership of £125,000 of UK SPF (revenue) funding for 2023/24. For the year 2024/25 an additional
£158,000 of UK SPF (revenue) and £158,000 REPF (capital) funding has been allocated. This funding will allow for two programmes comprising “wraparound support” where new entrants and existing businesses can receive business advice and apply for investment. We shall also deliver a range of intensive “start-up schools for social enterprise”. The Social Enterprise Manager is now working with the councils’ programme officers to satisfy some special conditions associated with the offer and prior to the issue of funding agreements, and will develop a procurement framework to scale up current activity.
