Support & Advice
The Partnership has delivered a series of support programmes to Cumbria’s social enterprise sector for the past 15 years. We currently have two programmes of support available to both existing social enterprises or anyone looking to setup a new social enterprise.

Spark is a bespoke programme of support available to both existing social enterprises or budding social entrepreneurs based in either Allerdale or Copeland.
It offers 3 levels of support:

The Partnership offers a programme of countywide support fully funded by Cumberland Council & Westmorland & Furness Council, which provides specialist consultancy support, which can help a group form a new social enterprise business or support an existing social enterprise with any aspect of their business development.

BIPC (Business and IP Centre) Cumbria is part of a national network of centres by The British Library. Their centres are located in Barrow and Carlisle libraries, and you can find the opening times on Cumbria County Council’s website.
Cumbria Social Enterprise Partnership is partnering with the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce to deliver the Brilliant Barrow Town Deal Business Support Programme.
Cumbria Social Enterprise Partnership will provide targeted support that could enable new and existing social enterprises to respond to opportunities and needs where market failure is present.
